The pause ward
A daughter visits her father on the day his cure is approved.

Morphogens are the molecules that tell cells what to become. We do the same for four technologies that could add healthy decades to human life: picture them, reverse-engineer them into plans, and gather the people who will build them.
The mission
Four technologies will decide how long and how well people live this century. None of them arrives by default. Each month we take one, picture it working, and work backwards to the first experiments someone could start next quarter.
Consent, reversibility and fair access are design constraints in every plan we publish.
Pillar 01Biostasis
Reversible cryopreservation that holds patients with terminal or age-related disease until regenerative therapies can treat them.
Think tanks · Feb, Jun, Dec 2027
Pillar 02Self-driving labs
Robots that design, run and analyse experiments in a closed loop, producing the cell and tissue datasets that biological models are starved of.
Think tanks · Jan, May, Sep 2027
Pillar 03Clinical digital twins
CT, MRI, ultrasound, bloodwork and omics combined into a model of one person. It helps them choose, and lets drugs, dosing and robotic surgery be tried in simulation first.
Think tanks · Pilot Dec 2026 · Apr, Aug, Nov 2027
Pillar 04Bio-synthetic interfaces
Micromachines distributed through the body, plus genetically encoded channels switched by light, ultrasound or electric fields. They stream real-time data to keep a twin live, and write back.
Think tanks · Mar, Jul, Oct 2027
The monthly think tank
Each month opens with a brief and a film. Anyone can submit a reverse-engineered plan. The best ones win cash, and a live session turns the winner into next steps with owners.
A target future, a year, one hard constraint, and the month's film.
Two pages: milestones back to today, the bottleneck, the first three experiments.
Founders and an invited expert pick five. Members vote.
Five-minute pitches, a red team, and breakouts that strengthen the winner.
The winning plan goes public with named owners. Prizes are paid.
Prizes every month
Scored on plausibility, concrete first steps, leverage and clarity. Founders 60%, member vote 40%. Free to enter, 18+.

Films
One short film a month, made with AI video models: one person, one moment, one year between 2035 and 2060. Each premieres with that month's brief.
A daughter visits her father on the day his cure is approved.
No one in the room as ten thousand organoid experiments finish before dawn.
A patient watches her twin try three glaucoma treatments before she chooses one.
A stroke survivor's hand moves again, and she asks who else can turn the dial.
First premiere 1 December 2026. Speculative fiction: no real treatments, no real people.
Podcast
The founders and occasional guests, on video, every Tuesday and Friday. Clips run daily on X and TikTok.
Tuesdays
60–75 min
One pillar, taken apart: what has to be true, who is building it, what would change our minds.
Fridays
20–30 min
Three papers or headlines from the week, and which pillar each one moves.
First episodes November 2026.
Meetups
Evening meetups beside the big North American meetings: that pillar's film, three five-minute talks from prize winners, and people who want to build.
Self-driving labs
Digital twins · vision
Self-driving labs · cell models
Bio-synthetic interfaces
Dates are the conferences'. Venue and time for each meetup are posted three weeks ahead.
